Making the old, new again.

Hello friends,

Recently I went down to the local GoodWill Store where I just so happen to stumble across a fabulous pair of 1950's vintage Stakmore chairs.  Normally these chairs go for about 100$ per chair brand new, however you can find many on craigslist for about 15$ used and a bit dated.  However with a little sand paper and some paint, these old chairs can have a new life again!

These chairs are quite adorable and they fold up making them super handy for small/tight corders for any apartment.  I got these chairs for 7 bucks a piece and then decided I was going to paint and recover the original cushions.  30$ later and some elbow grease and this is what ya get..

So next time you are ready to go to Ikea and buy brand new chairs without any character, maybe you should think again and check out your local Goodwill or any thrift shop for a fun project and a style you can match to your own :)
